Summer CE Amidst the Great Outdoors and Microbrews of Bend, Oregon: June 6-8, 2025

from $360.00

Bend Newberry Hotel by Hilton Conference Center

We are thrilled to be returning to one of our favorite spots for Continuing Education.

Bend, Oregon is a lovely mountain town nestled on the sunny side of the Cascade mountain range. The sun does not set until nearly 9pm at this latitude, creating unlimited opportunities to get out and hike, bike, float down a river, kayak, fish, swim, stand-up paddle or simply relax. Bend is also the craft brewing capital of Oregon with more small breweries per capita than anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest. The forecast calls for outstanding CE with plenty of time to unwind.

The Education

12 hours of world-class approved CE will be available in Small Animal Dermatology and Cardiology. Our speakers will be Drs. Ashley Bourgeois DVM, Diplomate ACVD and William Rausch DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology . Both are clinicians in private specialty practice and this gives their talks a practical focus - allowing you to put what you learn into practice straight away. Talks will take place from 3:30-6:30pm on Friday, and then first thing in the morning on Saturday and Sunday - in order to allow you to get out and enjoy the primetime of the day.

Following our Friday talks, we will have a welcome reception with beverages and hors d’oeuvres in the hotel lounge.

On Saturday evening we will also have an optional social event at Crux Fermentation Project, our favorite local brewery. They offer food - and also have a food truck with the best tacos in town. There is a dog and kid-friendly large outdoor area, and your guests are welcome at all social events.

The Location

Bend, Oregon is a lovely mountain town nestled on the sunny side of the Cascade mountain range. The sun does not set until nearly 9pm at this latitude, creating unlimited opportunities to get out and hike with your dog, bike, float down the Deschutes River, kayak, fish, swim, stand-up paddle, ride a horse, or simply relax. Bend is also the craft brewing capital of Oregon with more small breweries per capita than anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest. If you would like to extend your CE vacation by a day or two, Crater Lake National Park, the Columbia River Gorge, whale watching at the Oregon Coast and wine country are all within reach. The forecast calls for outstanding CE with plenty of time to unwind.

The location for our lectures is the Newberry Hotel by Hilton Conference Center located in the walkable heart of Bend.  A limited number of rooms are being held at a discounted rate of $269 for attendees. The rooms are all suites and rates include free parking and wi-fi. We will share a link to get this discounted rate following your registration. There are a wide range of other hotels in the area (or beautiful camping) to choose from too. However, we do find that there is something super-relaxed about rolling out of bed and walking down the hall to your CE.

If you have been to Bend, you know well it’s mountain-town beauty and charms. If not, this link can get you started.

Early registration is available, but this is a small group event and our conferences tend to sell out in advance.  We believe in limiting class size in order to foster a good environment for learning. Registration includes 12 hours of approved continuing education, 3 days of vacation, 2 optional social events and the best time you will ever have at work.

Bend is served by a local airport (Redmond - RDM) with frequent flights from major airlines. The Portland airport (PDX) is a lovely 3 hour drive away. Choose your own adventure and make it a larger Pacific Northwest vacation if you like.

Life is short.  Make the most of your CE experience.
